Charlotte studied journalism at Edinburgh Napier University before spending much of the next decade working internationally in adventure photography and outdoor guiding. In 2019, she founded Deepwild Creative with her partner, Steve Small. Their work combines documentary filmmaking, photography, and expedition experience, with a particular interest in telling stories about people and their relationships with wild places.

Charlotte has worked across the world, including Greenland, Japan, and Patagonia. Her recent films include Split, a documentary exploring adventure, environmental responsibility, and personal purpose, and Find Mòr, which explores canyoning in the Scottish Highlands.
