For Educators
Bald Mountain Meadow programs give educators the space to step outside their usual routines and become learners again. In new places and alongside other educators, each experience offers time to explore new ideas, rethink familiar approaches, and return to your work with fresh perspective and purpose.

Step Outside Your Routine
Good teaching needs room to breathe. Bald Mountain Meadow programs give educators time away from the usual pace of the school year to learn in new settings, engage with new ideas, and remember what it feels like to be a learner themselves.

Learn Alongside Others
Bald Mountain Meadow brings together educators with different experiences, disciplines, and approaches to teaching. There’s time to compare notes, wrestle with questions, and learn from people who may see their work differently than you do.

Bring It Into Your Practice
The goal isn’t professional development that gets filed away when you get home. Bald Mountain Meadow experiences are meant to influence how you teach, what you notice, and the kinds of experiences you create for your own students.
Upcoming Educator Programs
From Scotland and Iceland to Alaska and beyond, Bald Mountain Meadow programs bring educators together for unforgettable experiences in some of the world’s most remarkable places. Participants learn alongside peers from across the globe, work with world-class instructors and local experts, and experience each place in ways few learners ever do.

Teaching at the Ice’s Edge: An Iceland Learning Expedition for Educators
For seven days, a small cohort of educators will travel through the glaciers, black-sand coastline, and farmland of southeast Iceland, taking up one of the central challenges of twenty-first-century education: how to help young people encounter a changing world in ways that build knowledge, wonder, care, and the capacity to act.
